My 3rd project for ARTG1250 Summer 1 focused on creating a brochure in InDesign to inform people about an issue that was important to us. While I had originally wanted to do overfishing because of my interest in marine life, the layer of toxic smog that settled over my hometown (New York City) ended up influencing my decision to switch to a brochure about wildfires.

I think I struggled a lot more with this project than the previous two. One challenge I faced was balancing the format of the text/words on the page with images. I tried my best to present some key ideas in various formats - numbers in bubbles and wildfire anatomy in a diagram, for example - but ultimately I wish I had the ability to create infographics for other sections of my brochure, such as the sections on risk factors and fighting wildfires. That would, however, prove to possibly be a challenge with the color scheme, so it's possible that this may be a hinderance. Inversely, I could have cut down on the amount of text.
